The Technick VBHRG-D-4-10-BH10 gear pump features an integrated safety (bypass) valve.

• Maximum pressure: up to 40 bar
• Minimum permitted suction pressure: -0.6 bar
  Warning: gas release may occur even at -0.4 bar
• Maximum permitted suction pressure: 5.0 bar
• Maximum allowable pump speed: 2800 RPM at 50 Hz
• Temperature: up to 150 °C
• Permissible test pressure: max. 60 bar with mechanical seal removed (when the shaft outlet is sealed)

It operates using two internally meshed gears: the driving gear (rotor) engages the driven gear, which is mounted eccentrically on a pin in the pump cover. As the gears rotate, fluid is drawn into the crescent-shaped chamber when the gear teeth disengage and is then pushed into the discharge line as they re-engage.
