Honeywell VR4605QB2002U are gas solenoid valves specially designed to ensure safe control of gas flow in various home systems such as heating, radiators, boilers and water heaters. These valves offer standard functions and have additional settings, including the ability to adjust the pressure, the use of throttle valves, smooth ignition, two-level control and modulation of the gas flow. Due to their compact design, they are available with various power options, including mains and low-voltage, as well as with different bandwidth.

The Honeywell VR4605QB2002 second stage gas valve is also used for MORA boilers.

Each of these regulators is equipped with two electric actuators:

1. One mechanism is designed to control the opening of a safety valve of class A or B in accordance with EN 161.

2. The other mechanism is designed to control the opening of the main valve of class B, C or J in accordance with EN 161.

These regulators can be used with different types of gases, including petroleum gases MFD group A (G110), MFD group B (G 120), natural gas H (G 20), natural gas L (G25) and liquefied gas LP (G30).

General provisions

The Resideo VR4605QB 2002U gas regulator is designed for use in gas heating systems equipped with DSI, HSI or IP ignition systems for the main burner. The main burner is controlled using two-position electrical actuators.

The VR4605 QB 2002U controller has an internal fine-mesh filter on the input side, and if necessary, it can be additionally equipped with an output mesh filter. There are several models with different variants of the closing force:

  • B + B
  • B + J
  • B + C
  • A + J
  • A + C

To control and adjust the pressure of the burner, pressure measuring fittings with an outer diameter of 9 mm are provided on the input and output sides. The regulator can be installed within an angle of 90° in any direction from the vertical position of the two-position electric actuator.

On the base of the VR4605QB2002B valve there are two threaded mounting holes for mounting on the heating system. The two-position actuating device of the type of the tracking main valve is equipped with an electrical connector of the DIN standard and can be connected to AMP connectors.

Principle of operation

The principle of operation of the VR4605QB 2002B gas solenoid valve is the automatic control of the gas outlet pressure. This system is equipped with positive feedback, which ensures reliable closure of the main valve in the event of a power failure or gas supply. This guarantees a constant outlet pressure, regardless of changes in the inlet pressure. If there is no need for pressure regulation, it is possible to lock the regulator spring, which allows you to control the output pressure based on the full pressure of the “servogas”.
