Honeywell VR4601C1077B regulators are designed for efficient gas flow control in home heating systems, boilers and water heaters. They perform standard functions and can be equipped with additional options, such as pressure regulators, throttle valves, devices for smooth ignition, two-level regulation and gas flow control. The Resideo VR4601C 1077B Compact Automatic gas valves can operate with different power sources, including mains and low-voltage, and have different throughput capacities.

These gas regulators are equipped with two electric actuators: one for controlling a safety valve of class A or B according to EN 161 and the other for controlling the main valve of class B, C or J according to EN 161. They are suitable for working with various types of gases, including MFD Group A (G110), MFD Group B (G120), natural gas H (G20), natural gas L (G25) and liquefied gas LP (G30).

General characteristics

• Inlet and outlet are suitable for flanged connection

• Screen on the input side

• Pressure valve on the inlet and outlet sides

• Gas connection input: 1/2″ BSP.Pl Outlet: 1/2″ BSP.Pl

• Compression fitting –

• Back pressure of the 1st valve: 50 mbar

• Ambient temperature 0…60°C

• Maximum inlet pressure 60 mbar

• CE compliance

• Note: Coil with top connection

Management functions

• Maximum operating pressure 45 mbar

• Control flow rate of 0.1 m3/h (min)

• Leakage requirements according to EN 126

• Capacity (by air) 3.1 m3/h with a pressure drop of 3 mbar

• Softlite pressure 5 mbar -3.5/+0 after 1.5 s

Standard conditions

1. Indication of the flow rate in cubic meters per hour (m3 /h).

2. Registration of the output pressure using a sensor connected to a half-inch pipe, the length of which is 10 times the diameter of the pipe. This is done through a short hose, the length of which is equal to 5 pipe diameters.

3. Rated voltage.

4. Vertical position, meaning that the actuators are on top.

5. Nominal inlet pressure is 25 millibars, dry air at a temperature of 20 °C.

6. Ambient pressure = 1013 millibars.

7. Ambient temperature = 20 °C.

8. Output diaphragm with a diameter of 2.8 mm.

General provisions

The specific characteristics of this VR4601 C 1077B gas solenoid valve can be divided into the following points:

1. Compatible with gas heating systems supporting various ignition methods, such as DSI, HSI or IP, for the main burner.

2. The main burner is controlled by two-position electrical actuators.

3. Internal fine-mesh filter on the inlet side of the VR4601A1038U gas solenoid valve, with the possibility of adding an output mesh filter on request.

4. Different models with different valve closing force: B+ B, B+ J, B+C, A+ J and A+C.

5. Pressure measuring fittings on the inlet and outlet sides of the valve, with an outer diameter of 9 mm, designed to control and adjust the pressure of the burner.

6. The possibility of mounting the regulator within an angle of 90° in any direction from the vertical position of the two-position electric actuator.

7. Two threaded mounting holes in the base of the valve for mounting on the heating system.

8. Two-position actuating device of the main valve tracking type with an electrical connector according to DIN standard, which facilitates its connection with AMP connectors.

Principle of operation

The principle of operation of the VR4601C1077U combined gas valve is the automatic control of the gas outlet pressure. This regulator is equipped with a built-in positive feedback system, which ensures reliable closure of the main valve in case of power loss or a change in gas supply. This system guarantees a stable output pressure regardless of input pressure fluctuations. When the regulator releases small volumes of gas, the outlet pressure is adjusted to compensate for pressure differences. If pressure adjustment is not required, the regulator spring can be blocked, which will allow the full pressure of the “servogas” to determine the position of the main valve and control the output pressure.
