Honeywell VR432PF1019-0000 gas valves equipped with servo control belong to class “A” and are used to control and regulate the supply of gaseous fuel to powerful gas burners, atmospheric gas boilers, melting furnaces, waste incinerators and other devices that consume gas.

These gas valves, model VR432PF 1019-0000, are manufactured both for systems with spark ignition of burners (DBI) and for systems with pilot burner (IP).

As standard, Honeywell VR432 PF 1019-0000 series gas solenoid valves are equipped with two main valves V1 and V2:

1. The V1 safety valve always opens/closes quickly;

2. The second valve (V2) can be operated either quickly (with flow control) or slowly (with flow control and adjustable opening).

A pressure control valve is located between valves V1 and V2.

There are 4 flange connections on both sides of the main body for the installation of any of the following devices:

• Inlet pressure switches of the C60VR series

• C60VR series intermediate pressure switch

• Valve Inspection System (VPS) + pressure switch

These accessories can be installed in different places of the main body of the Resideo VR432PF1019-0000 gas valve.

Design and principle of operation

Honeywell VR432PF 1019-0000 gas valves are controlled by two-position devices that open and close the valves. The devices include a coil and a sleeve, inside of which there is a plunger connected to a rubber valve and covered with a special material.

These valves work as a system that keeps them in the open position due to the pressure of the spring. The main component is a pressure servo controller with a pressure relief valve built into the regulator diaphragm that controls the control valve.

When power is supplied to both actuators, gas flows through the diaphragm into the system and the regulator. This pressure raises the diaphragm, and when the control valve opens, the pressure generated by the valve is regulated by the diaphragm through feedback.

If the generated pressure exceeds the set value, the control valve reduces the operating pressure to close partially. This allows the exhaust pressure to be maintained at a constant level, regardless of changes in the intake pressure. When disconnected, a small volume of gas is discharged into the main chamber.

If the pressure needs to be adjusted, an adjustment screw is used. In case no regulation is required, the full pressure determines the position of the control valve based on the pressure.

Pressure measurement points

The Honeywell VR432 PF 1019-0000 gas control unit has a number of connection points for pressure measurement, pressure switch installation or IP applications.

The following pressures can be measured:

• P – kindling gas

• 1+2 – inlet pressure

• 3 – intermediate pressure

• 4 – exhaust pressure

The corresponding numbers are indicated on the sides of the valve.

Exhaust pressure adjustment

• Open the pressure feedback connection (if provided).

• Supply power to both electrical actuators to ensure that gas is supplied to the burner.

• Check the gas supply to the installation by means of a gas meter with a clock mechanism or by means of a pressure gauge connected to the outlet pressure measuring fitting.

• Unscrew the pressure regulator cover screw to open the pressure regulator adjustment screw.

• Slowly turn the adjusting screw with a miniature screwdriver until the pressure gauge shows the required burner pressure. Rotate the adjusting screw clockwise to increase the burner pressure, or counterclockwise to decrease it.

• To exit the control mode (low pressure gas), turn the adjustment screw clockwise until it stops.

• Replace the pressure regulator cover screw.

• Restore the pressure feedback connection (if provided).

Standards

With regard to electrical safety, the VR432PF 1019-0000 combined gas valves can be used in devices conforming to the European standards of the EN 60335 series, which establish requirements for

The Resideo VR432 PF 1019-0000 gas valves also meet all standards for electromagnetic compatibility for non-industrial and industrial installations.
