Honeywell VR425 VA 5034-1000 gas solenoid valves, class “A”, are used to regulate the supply of gaseous fuel to various devices, including gas burners, boilers, furnaces and waste incinerators. They are suitable both for systems with spark ignition of the burner and for systems with a pilot burner.

These valves are equipped with two main valves: V1 and V2. V1 opens and closes quickly at all times, while V2 can adjust the gas flow both quickly and slowly, and also has a configurable opening. There is a pressure control valve between V1 and V2.

The main body is equipped with 4 flanged connections on each side, designed for the installation of various devices, such as the C60VR series pressure switches, intermediate pressure relays and valve inspection systems (VPS) in combination with a pressure switch. These components can be placed in different parts of the main gas valve body of the Honeywell VR425VA 5034-1000.

Design and principle of operation

Honeywell VR425VA5034-1000 combined gas valves are controlled by devices responsible for opening and closing valves. They include a coil and a sleeve with a plunger connected to a rubber valve coated with a special material.

These valves work as a system, maintaining the open position due to the spring pressure. The main component is a pressure servo controller, which includes a pressure relief valve in the regulator diaphragm that controls the control valve.

The power supply to both devices leads to the passage of gas through the diaphragm into the system and the regulator. This pressure raises the membrane, and when the control valve is opened, the pressure generated by the valve is regulated by the membrane through feedback.

If the created pressure exceeds the set value, the control valve reduces the operating pressure to close partially. This keeps the exhaust pressure stable, regardless of intake pressure changes. When disconnected, a small volume of gas is discharged into the main chamber.

If pressure regulation is necessary, an adjustment screw is used. If no regulation is required, the full pressure determines the position of the control valve based on the pressure.

Pressure measurement points

The Honeywell VR425 VA 5034-1000 gas valve has a number of connection points for pressure measurement, pressure switch installation or IP applications.

The following pressures can be measured:

• P – kindling gas

• 1+2 – inlet pressure

• 3 – intermediate pressure

• 4 – exhaust pressure

The corresponding numbers are indicated on the sides of the valve.

Exhaust pressure adjustment

• Open the pressure feedback connection (if provided).

• Supply power to both electrical actuators to ensure that gas is supplied to the burner.

• Check the gas supply to the installation by means of a gas meter with a clock mechanism or by means of a pressure gauge connected to the outlet pressure measuring fitting.

• Unscrew the pressure regulator cover screw to open the pressure regulator adjustment screw.

• Slowly turn the adjusting screw with a miniature screwdriver until the pressure gauge shows the required burner pressure. Rotate the adjusting screw clockwise to increase the burner pressure, or counterclockwise to decrease it.

• To exit the control mode (low pressure gas), turn the adjustment screw clockwise until it stops.

• Replace the pressure regulator cover screw.

• Restore the pressure feedback connection (if provided).

Standards

With regard to electrical safety, the VR425VA 5034-1000 combined gas valves can be used in devices conforming to the European standards of the EN 60335 series, which establish requirements for

The Resideo VR425VA5034-1000 CVI valves also comply with all electromagnetic compatibility standards for non-industrial and industrial installations.
