Honeywell VR425FE5003-1000 Class A gas valves are designed to regulate and control the supply of gaseous fuel to various technical devices, such as powerful gas burners, atmospheric gas boilers, melting furnaces, incinerators and other gas consuming devices.

The Resideo VR425FE 5003-1000 CVI valves are designed for use in systems with spark ignition of the burner (DBI) and with a pilot burner (IP). They are equipped with two main valves: V1 is a safety valve that provides quick opening/closing, and V2 is a second valve capable of operating either fast with flow control or slow with flow control and adjustable opening.

The valve body has 4 flange connections on each side for the installation of additional devices. This allows you to integrate:

– C60VR series inlet pressure switch

– Intermediate pressure switch of the C60VR series

– Valve inspection System (VPS) together with pressure switch

Such components can be placed in various places of the case, providing flexibility of configuration and adaptability to various configurations and requirements of devices.

Design and principle of operation

The gas control units of the Resideo VR425 FE 5003-1000 are devices with two-position control that ensures the opening and closing of valves. Each device contains a coil and a sleeve, inside of which there is a plunger connected to a rubber valve and covered with a material with a low coefficient of friction.

These valves function as a system supported by spring pressure to keep them open. The main element here is a pressure regulator with servo action and a pressure relief valve built into the diaphragm of the regulator that controls the control valve.

When power is supplied to both devices, gas flows through the diaphragm into the system and the regulator. This generates a “servo gas” that lifts the membrane. With the control valve open, the pressure generated by the Resideo VR425FE5003-1000 gas solenoid valve is regulated by the diaphragm via feedback.

When the pressure on the diaphragm exceeds the set value, the control valve partially reduces the operating pressure, allowing it to close proportionally. This ensures that the output pressure is maintained at a constant level, regardless of changes in the input pressure. When disconnected, a small volume of working gas from the regulator is discharged into the main chamber.

The adjusting screw is used for the necessary pressure correction. If regulation is not required, the full pressure of the “servogas”

Mounting position

The gas valve can be installed at an angle of plus or minus 90 degrees to the vertical. The distance between the gas valve and the wall/floor must be at least 30 cm.

Standards

With regard to electrical safety, the Honeywell VR425FE 5003-1000 gas valves can be used in devices that comply with the European standards of the EN 60335 series, which establish requirements for

The VR425 FE 5003-1000 gas solenoid valves also meet all electromagnetic compatibility standards for non-industrial and industrial installations.
