Honeywell VR425AB1007-1000 gas valves equipped with servo control belong to class “A” and are used to control and regulate the supply of gaseous fuel to powerful gas burners, atmospheric gas boilers, melting furnaces, waste incinerators and other devices that consume gas.

These combined gas valves, the Resideo VR425AB 1007-1000 model, are manufactured both for systems with spark ignition of burners (DBI) and for systems with a pilot burner (IP).

As standard, Honeywell VR425 AB 1007-1000 gas solenoid valves are equipped with two main valves V1 and V2:

1. The V1 safety valve always opens/closes quickly;

2. The second valve (V2) can be operated either quickly (with flow control) or slowly (with flow control and adjustable opening).

A pressure control valve is located between valves V1 and V2.

There are 4 flange connections on both sides of the main body for the installation of any of the following devices:

• Inlet pressure switches of the C60VR series

• C60VR series intermediate pressure switch

• Valve Inspection System (VPS) + pressure switch

These accessories can be installed in different places of the main gas valve body VR425AB1007-1000.

Design and principle of operation

Gas control unit from the VR425AB 1007-1000 range, controlled by two-position actuators, control the opening and closing by direct action. Each device includes a coil and a locking sleeve, in which there is a plunger connected to a valve made of rubber, covered with a material with a low coefficient of friction.

These valves function as a forced-action system, where the spring pressure keeps them in the open position. The central element of the system is a pressure servo controller, including a pressure relief valve integrated into the regulator diaphragm. The diaphragm controls the control valve.

The electrical supply to both actuators directs gas through the diaphragm of the servo mechanism to the servo system and the regulator. This “servo gas” lifts the diaphragm by opening the control valve, and the pressure created by the Resideo VR425 AB 1007-1000 combined valve ignition system is regulated through the feedback channel by the regulator membrane.

When the pressure created by the membrane exceeds the set value, the control valve partially reduces the operating pressure, ensuring its proportional reduction. This allows the exhaust pressure to be maintained at the desired level, regardless of changes in the intake pressure. When switched off, a small volume of working gas from the regulator is discharged into the main exhaust chamber.

If pressure regulation is necessary, an adjustment screw can be used. If no adjustment is required, the full pressure of the “servogas” determines the position of the control valve based on the pressure.

The Honeywell VR425AB1007-1000 gas control units are designed in accordance with the European standard EN 126. The safety shut-off valve meets the requirements of Class “A”. In terms of bending stresses, the combined valve meets the highest requirements.

With regard to electrical safety, the VR425AB 1007-1000 gas solenoid valves can be used in devices conforming to the series of European standards EN 60335, which establish requirements for household and industrial electrical devices.

The VR425 AB 1007-1000 gas valves also comply with all electromagnetic compatibility standards for non-industrial and industrial installations.
