Honeywell VR420VE5019-1000 combined valves ignition system with the possibility of regulation belong to class “A” and are used to control the flow of gaseous fuel in various devices, including powerful gas burners, atmospheric gas boilers, melting furnaces, incinerators and other gas-consuming devices.
The valves of this series are designed for systems with spark ignition of the burner (DBI) and with pilot burner (IP). They are equipped with two main valves, V1 and V2. The safety valve V1 opens and closes quickly at all times, while the second valve V2 can react either quickly (with flow control) or slowly (with flow control and the ability to adjust the opening).
A pressure control valve is placed between valves V1 and V2. There are 4 flange connections on each side of the main body for the installation of various equipment, such as the inlet pressure switch of the C60VR series, the intermediate pressure switch of the C60VR series or the valve inspection system (VPS) in combination with the pressure switch. These components can be placed in different parts of the main body of the Resideo VR420VE 5019-1000 gas control unit.

Design and principle of operation
Honeywell VR420VE5019-1000 combined gas valves are controlled by two-position actuators that directly affect the opening and closing of the valves. Each actuator includes a coil and a locking sleeve, inside which there is a plunger connected to a rubber valve. This plunger is covered with antifriction material.
The VR420VE 5019-1000 gas valves operate as a forced-action servo system, where the spring pressure keeps them in the normally open position. The main component of the system is a pressure servo controller, which includes a pressure relief valve built into the regulator diaphragm. The diaphragm controls the control valve.
The supply of power to both actuators leads to the flow of gas through the diaphragm of the servo mechanism into the servo system and the regulator. This “servo gas” raises the diaphragm, and when the control valve is opened, the pressure generated by the VR420 VE 5019-1000 gas control block is regulated by the regulator membrane through the feedback channel.
When the pressure created by the diaphragm exceeds the set value, the control valve partially reduces the operating pressure, which allows it to close proportionally. This keeps the exhaust pressure at a preset level, regardless of intake pressure fluctuations. When disconnected, a small volume of working gas from the regulator is discharged into the main exhaust chamber.
If it is necessary to adjust the pressure, you can use the adjusting screw. If no regulation is required, the full pressure of the “servogas” determines the position of the control valve based on the pressure.
Exhaust pressure adjustment
• Open the pressure feedback connection (if provided).
• Supply power to both electrical actuators to ensure that gas is supplied to the burner.
• Check the gas supply to the installation by means of a gas meter with a clock mechanism or by means of a pressure gauge connected to the outlet pressure measuring fitting.
• Unscrew the pressure regulator cover screw to open the pressure regulator adjustment screw.
• Slowly turn the adjusting screw with a miniature screwdriver until the pressure gauge shows the required burner pressure. Rotate the adjusting screw clockwise to increase the burner pressure, or counterclockwise to decrease it.
• To exit the control mode (low pressure gas), turn the adjustment screw clockwise until it stops.
• Replace the pressure regulator cover screw.
• Restore the pressure feedback connection (if provided).
Standards
With regard to electrical safety, the Resideo VR420VE 5019-1000 gas valves can be used in devices conforming to the European standards of the EN 60335 series, which establish requirements for
The VR420 VE 5019-1000 gas solenoid valves also comply with all electromagnetic compatibility standards for non-industrial and industrial installations.
