Honeywell VR420VE1000-0000 Class A gas valves are used to control and regulate the supply of gaseous fuel in high-power gas burners, atmospheric gas boilers, melting furnaces, incinerators and other gas consuming devices.

The Resideo VR420VE 1000-0000 combined gas valves are available for systems with spark ignition of the burner (DBI) and for systems with a pilot burner (IP).

As standard, the Honeywell VR420 VE 1000-0000 gas solenoid valves are equipped with two main valves V1 and V2:

1. The V1 safety valve always opens/closes quickly;

2. The second valve (V2) can be operated either quickly (with flow control) or slowly (with flow control and adjustable opening).

A pressure control valve is located between valves V1 and V2.

There are 4 flange connections on both sides of the main body for the installation of any of the following devices:

• Inlet pressure switches of the C60VR series

• C60VR series intermediate pressure switch

• Valve Inspection System (VPS) + pressure switch

These accessories can be installed in different places of the main body of the gas control unit VR420 VE 1000-0000.

Design and principle of operation

Honeywell VR420VE1000-0000 CVI valves are controlled by two-position actuators that directly affect the opening and closing of the valves. Each actuator includes a coil and a locking sleeve, inside which there is a plunger connected to a rubber valve. This plunger is covered with antifriction material.

The Resideo VR420VE 1000-0000 gas control blocks operate as a forced-action servo system, where spring pressure keeps them in the normally open position. The main component of the system is a pressure servo controller, which includes a pressure relief valve built into the regulator diaphragm. The diaphragm controls the control valve.

The supply of power to both actuators leads to the flow of gas through the diaphragm of the servo mechanism into the servo system and the regulator. This “servo gas” lifts the diaphragm, and when the control valve is opened, the pressure generated by the VR420 VE 1000-0000 series valve is regulated by the regulator membrane through the feedback channel.

When the pressure created by the diaphragm exceeds the set value, the control valve partially reduces the operating pressure, which allows it to close proportionally. This keeps the exhaust pressure at a preset level, regardless of intake pressure fluctuations. When disconnected, a small volume of working gas from the regulator is discharged into the main exhaust chamber.

If it is necessary to adjust the pressure, you can use the adjusting screw. If no regulation is required, the full pressure of the “servogas” determines the position of the control valve based on the pressure.

Standards

The VR420VE1000-0000 gas solenoid valves are designed in accordance with the European standard EN 126. The safety shut-off valve meets the requirements of Class “A”. In terms of bending stresses, the combined valve meets the highest requirements.

With regard to electrical safety, Honeywell VR420VE 1000-0000 compact gas units can be used in devices conforming to the series of European standards EN 60335, which establish requirements for household and industrial electrical devices.

The VR420VE1000-0000 gas valves also meet all electromagnetic compatibility standards for non-industrial and industrial installations.
