Honeywell VR420AA1029-1000 gas solenoid valves, class “A”, are designed to regulate the flow of gaseous fuel in various gas-consuming devices, including powerful gas burners, atmospheric gas boilers, melting furnaces, incinerators and other similar devices.

These valves can be used both in systems with spark ignition of the burner (DBI) and in systems with a pilot burner (IP). They are equipped with two main valves: V1 and V2. The first, V1, opens and closes promptly at all times, while the second, V2, can function with both fast flow control and slow flow control, allowing you to adjust the opening.

A pressure control valve is placed between V1 and V2. The main body of the VR420AA 1029-1000 gas valve has 4 flanged connections on each side, designed for the installation of various components, such as the C60VR series pressure switch at the inlet, the C60VR series intermediate pressure switch or the valve inspection system (VPS) in combination with the pressure switch. These components can be placed in different parts of the gas control unit body of the Resideo VR420 AA 1029-1000.

Design and principle of operation

Honeywell VR420AA1029-1000 combined gas valves are controlled by two-position devices, opening and closing under the influence of a coil, a plunger and a rubber valve. They work as a forced-action system with a pressure regulator, supported by a spring in the open state. The power supply activates the gas through the diaphragm, lifting the diaphragm and adjusting the pressure through the valves. When the pressure changes, the diaphragm regulates the operating pressure, maintaining the set value. The adjusting screw allows you to adjust the pressure if necessary.

Exhaust pressure adjustment

• Open the pressure feedback connection (if provided).

• Supply power to both electrical actuators to ensure that gas is supplied to the burner.

• Check the gas supply to the installation by means of a gas meter with a clock mechanism or by means of a pressure gauge connected to the outlet pressure measuring fitting.

• Unscrew the pressure regulator cover screw to open the pressure regulator adjustment screw.

• Slowly turn the adjusting screw with a miniature screwdriver until the pressure gauge shows the required burner pressure. Rotate the adjusting screw clockwise to increase the burner pressure, or counterclockwise to decrease it.

• To exit the control mode (low pressure gas), turn the adjustment screw clockwise until it stops.

• Replace the pressure regulator cover screw.

• Restore the pressure feedback connection (if provided).

Standards

With regard to electrical safety, VR420AA 1029-1000 series CVI valves can be used in devices conforming to the European standards of the EN 60335 series.

The VR420 AA 1029-1000 gas control unit also meet all standards for electromagnetic compatibility for non-industrial and industrial installations.
