The Resideo S4965V1075U relay is designed for use in residential gas heating systems. The Honeywell S4965V 1075U burner control unit is used in combination with VK41 series gas regulators, providing a gradual or alternative form of regulation. These components form both an optimized emergency protection subsystem that provides programmable safe ignition and flame control of the main burner of the heating system, as well as a subsystem for comfortable boiler regulation, temperature control and pump and three-way valve control.

Most of the standard control functions of gas boilers can be performed by a single control unit, which easily switches to gas regulation.

Possible applications

1. Running water heaters

2. Outdoor boilers

3. Combined boilers

4. Boilers with low emissions of nitrogen oxides (Low Nox)

5. Condensing boilers

EMC Recommendations

• To ensure long-term and reliable operation, install the boiler controller in a place of the heating system where low temperatures and low radiation levels are maintained. The boiler controller must be equipped with an external fuse.

• The location of the ignition cable must be determined in such a way as to minimize radiation. It is usually recommended to lay the ignition cable next to metal pipes or protective material to minimize the area of the circuit.

• The ignition cable should not be laid next to other cables.

• To suppress radio interference, the boiler controller containing the ignition device cable must be installed in a well-shielded compartment.

• Radio frequency radiation can be reduced by using a 1K spark plug.

• The flame detection cable should not be laid next to other cables.

• The DC-powered fan switch cable should not be placed next to other cables.

• High-voltage spark ignition wires must be located at least 10 cm away from other wires.

Standards

Gas control unit S4965 V 1075U is designed in accordance with European standards:

• EN 298 (2003): Automatic control systems for gas burners.

• EN 60730-1 and EN 60730-2-5: Automatic electrical control for domestic and similar use.
