The Joint control and ignition System (CVI) is designed to optimize the operation of gas boilers, heaters and water heaters equipped with an automatic ignition system. CVI includes the Resideo S4565R1014B automatic gas firing device, which cooperate with the VK41… series gas regulators, providing reliable protection in emergency situations.
Main features of the CVI system
1. Safe Ignition: CVI guarantees reliable ignition and effective flame control on the main burner of the heating equipment, which significantly reduces the risk of fire and emergency situations.
2. Flexible Settings: The system allows you to adjust the ignition process, control the flame and adjust the gas flow for both the main and pilot burners, which ensures optimal efficiency and stability of the equipment.
The Honeywell S4565R 1014B burner control units provide a variety of variations designed for spark ignition burner (DBI) and pilot burner ignition (IP) systems, ensuring a safe ignition time. The suffix “R” indicates that this is an atmospheric system with spark ignition of the burner.
The Honeywell S4565 R 1014B gas burner control box with a voltage of 220/240 V~ can be easily integrated into the electrical circuit of the VK41.. series gas regulator, however, they themselves do not have a direct effect on the flame. These ignition regulators have outstanding performance and reliability, and are available in various configurations to match different ignition systems.
General characteristics
1. All burner controller protection functions are integrated into a reliable system.
2. Special attention is paid to optimal solutions for systems with spark ignition of the burner (DBI) and systems with ignition of the pilot burner (IP) to ensure reliable ignition of the main burner.
3. The gas regulator and ignition regulator are designed using time-tested principles.
4. The installation of the ignition regulator on the gas regulator is simplified due to the presence of a connector on the top of the regulator.
5. The controller can be installed within an angle of 90° in any direction from the vertical position of the two-position electric actuator.
Reset the lock
The ignition automation can be reset by following these steps:
– Press your own/external reset button.
– Interrupt the constant power supply.
If the first reset attempt fails, wait at least 15 seconds before the second attempt.
Operation in heating mode:
In the heating mode, the air flow control relay detects the absence of air flow and starts the fan. If an external liquefied gas (LPG) valve is connected, voltage will be applied to it. When sufficient air flow is reached, the gas valve and the built-in or external ignition transformer (on request) are switched on. Gas ignition occurs and is controlled by the flame sensor rod. After the flame has been successfully established, a preset extended ignition time can be added.
Ignition regulator lock:
If the flame is not set during the safe ignition time, the ignition regulator is blocked.
Restart in normal operation:
If the flame goes out during normal operation, the ignition regulator repeats the starting sequence with pre-purging.
Waiting for the fan:
If the air flow control relay does not detect air flow during the pre-purge time, the ignition regulator remains in standby mode with the fan running.
Standards and electrical safety
The burner manager complies with the European standards EN 298 and EN 60730-1 for automatic control systems of gas burners and automatic electrical control devices for household and similar purposes. Regarding electrical safety, the ignition regulator can be used in installations that meet the electrical safety requirements for household electrical appliances set out in European standards EN 60335.
