The Joint control and ignition system (CVI) is designed for use in gas boilers, heaters and water heaters equipped with an automatic ignition system. This system uses the Honeywell S4565R1006U burner control unit, which cooperate with the gas regulators from the VK41… series, providing reliable protection in case of emergencies. CVI guarantees safe ignition and flame control on the main burner of the heating equipment, and also allows you to configure the ignition process, control the flame and regulate the gas flow for both the main and pilot burners.

The Honeywell S4565 R 1006B automatic burner control unit includes a variety of variations designed for systems with spark ignition of the burner (DBI) and systems with ignition of the pilot burner (IP), ensuring a safe ignition time. The suffix R indicates that this is an atmospheric system with spark ignition of the burner.

The Honeywell S4565R 1006B gas control unit with a voltage of 220/240 V~ can be directly connected to the electrical circuit of the gas regulator from the VK41.. series, however, they themselves do not directly affect the flame. These ignition regulators have outstanding performance and high reliability, and are available in various modifications corresponding to different ignition systems.

General provisions

1. All burner control protection functions are integrated into a reliable system.

2. Special attention is paid to optimal solutions for systems with spark ignition of the burner (DBI) and systems with pilot burner (IP) for ignition of the main burner.

3. The gas regulator and ignition regulator are designed using time-tested principles.

4. The installation of the ignition regulator on the gas regulator is simplified thanks to the connector provided on the top of the regulator.

5. The controller can be installed within a 90° angle in any direction from the vertical position of the two-position electric actuator.

Reset the lock

Combustion managers can be reset either by pressing their own/external reset button, or by interrupting the constant power supply. If the first reset failed, then wait at least 15 seconds before the second attempt.

When heating is required, the airflow control relay detects the absence of airflow and starts the fan.

If an external liquefied gas (LPG) valve is connected, voltage will be applied to it. When the air flow control relay determines the sufficiency of the flow, then after a time equal to the sum of the self-test period and the pre-purge period, the gas valve and the built-in or external ignition transformer are switched on (according to the add. order). The spark ignites the gas, and the resulting flame is detected by the flame sensor rod. The internal or external ignition is switched off. After the flame is established, a preset extended ignition time can be added.

If the flame does not set during the safe ignition time, the ignition regulator is blocked.

If the flame goes out during normal operation, the ignition regulator repeats the starting sequence with pre-purging.

If the air flow control relay does not detect the air flow during the pre-purge time, the ignition regulator remains in standby mode with the fan running.

Standards

The oil burner control unit is designed in accordance with European standards.:

– EN 298: Automatic control systems for gas burners.

– EN 60730-1: Automatic electrical control devices for household and similar purposes.

With regard to electrical safety, the ignition regulator can be used in installations that meet the electrical safety requirements for household electrical appliances defined by the series of European standards EN 60335.
