The Honeywell S4564BF1006B burner control units can be directly electrically connected to the VR4605.. gas regulator series. Gas regulator of the VR4601 series .. for IP ignition.

General characteristics

• All burner control functions are concentrated in one reliable and

optimized system.

• Specially designed to provide an optimal system solution in gas appliances with a DBI or IP system for igniting the main burner.

• Both gas control and ignition control are based on time-tested design solutions that guarantee reliability.

• It is easy to install the ignition regulator on the gas regulator by connecting it from above.

• The orientation of the installation can be within + or – 90° from the vertical position of the operator of the electric on/off valve.

System operation

For IP applications, the flame relay is connected by an internal wire to the control gas valve. The main valve will be powered if the control valve is powered and a flame is present.

When there is a need for heating, a voltage is applied to the outlet of the valve for liquefied gas. The self-test time (Tc) plus the standby time (Tw) will take some time before the built-in igniter and the gas control valve turn on. The ignition spark ignites the control gas, and the resulting flame is detected by a flame extinguisher. If the flame is established, then after the stabilization time (Tstab), the main valve is turned on and the ignition is turned off. If the flame does not ignite within a safe time (Ts), the ignition control system is blocked and the alarm indicator lights up. Then the liquefied gas valve is de-energized.

If the flame disappears during normal operation, the gas valve closes after the flame failure response Time (TFR) has elapsed, and the ignition control system repeats the start sequence. If the flame disappears within a period less than TFR, no reaction will follow.

If the resistance value of the NTC sensor falls below the threshold value, the control gas valve and the main gas valve are switched off.

After the specified time (TTBB) has elapsed, ignition control resumes if the sensor resistance exceeds the threshold value.

A self-test time (Tc) plus a waiting time (Tw) passes before the built-in igniter and the control gas valve are switched on.

Reliability and service life of the product

The ignition control system S4564BF1006 will withstand:

• 500,000 cycles for the operator of the gas safety valve and the main valve.

• 250,000 cycles at maximum loads.

• 6000 blocking operations at maximum loads.

• 1000 hours of sparking (type tested during the continuous sparking durability test).
