The Honeywell S4563B1011U ignition controller provides automatic ignition and

flame control both when using a direct-acting gas burner and when working with periodic control gas burners with a safety timer.

The suffix “B” in the name of the ignition controller Resideo S4563B 1011U means: atmospheric, direct ignition of the burner, flame relay or optical connector output.

The Honeywell S4563 B 1011U ignition regulator is suitable for MORA boilers: V I 5938 (5938).

General considerations

• Ignition controllers must be melted from the outside.

• The ignition controller does not contain serviceable parts. Any attempt to replace parts will affect the safety of this device and therefore is not allowed.

• High temperatures will affect the service life of the product.

• If the ignition controller is integrated into the device, the overall degree of protection must be at least IP 40.

• To ensure reliable long-term operation, install the ignition controller in the device together with a low ambient temperature and low radiation level.

• For safety reasons, it is necessary to connect a high-limit thermostat in accordance with the applicable standard for electrical appliances.

• The grounding between the ignition controller and the metal shield should be as short as possible.

Note:

• The electrical power of the connected controls and the air supply control relay must correspond to the load that is switched by the ignition controller.

System operation

When calling or heating before activating the built-in lighter and gas valve, a certain period of time passes first, followed by a waiting period. This interval is intended to prepare the system for operation.

When the ignition system is activated, the gas ignites, and then a flame rod is used to detect the resulting flame. This action provides control and detection of the flame.

The ignition will be switched off after the set operating time and flame setting. Both the ignition duration and the stabilization time depend on the number of cycles passed by the system.

If the flame is not installed within the set safe time, the ignition controller S4563B1011B is considered faulty and the ignition will be turned off.

If the flame disappears during normal operation, the Honeywell S4563B 1011B ignition controller repeats the ignition sequence.
