The Honeywell S4561D1001U ignition regulator provides automatic ignition and control of atmospheric burners in accordance with EN 298.

General considerations

The Resideo S4561D1001B automatic ignition controller must be blocked from the outside. If the internal fuse is blown due to a short circuit, the automatic ignition controller must be repaired by Honeywell.

To ensure reliable long-term operation, install an automatic ignition regulator in the device together with a low ambient temperature and a low level of thermal radiation.

High temperatures will negatively affect the service life of the product.

For safety reasons, the upper limit thermostat must be connected in series

with comfort regulators to turn off the automatic ignition regulator in case of overheating.

To suppress radio frequency interference (RFI), the automatic ignition controller, including spark igniter cables, must be installed in a sufficiently shielded room.

System operation

When the comfort control system requires heating, a self-check time (Tcheck) and a waiting period (Tw) pass before turning on the built-in igniter and gas valve. The ignition spark ignites the gas, and the resulting flame is detected by a flame extinguisher.

The ignition switches off after a certain time (depending on the elapsed safety time) after the flame is set.

If the flame does not ignite within a safe time (Ts), the automatic ignition control is blocked.

If the flame disappears during normal operation, the automatic ignition controller

repeats the start sequence.
