The Honeywell C7076A1031 flame detector is a solid-state device with adjustable sensitivity designed to detect ultraviolet radiation that occurs during the combustion of gas, liquid fuel and pulverized coal. This device is designed specifically for integration into burner control and fire safety systems where optimal sensitivity and/or accurate flame detection is required.

This detector can be integrated with various devices, such as an ultraviolet radiation amplifier with a high-speed self-diagnosis function R7476* and a flame relay R4348 (Flame Switch), or with a microprocessor-based burner control system R7241. It is also possible to work with an ultraviolet radiation amplifier with the function of high-speed self-diagnosis R7886A* and gorenje programmers from the 7800 SERIES.

These configurations form a closed loop that provides independent control and integrity of the amplifier and the flame detector. In the event of an incorrect reaction to a simulated situation, such as a flame loss, the detector ensures that the fuel supply is safely switched off and/or an alarm is activated. This ensures reliable and safe operation of the system in conditions of potential hazards.

Description

The Resideo C7076A1031/B flame sensor is designed for use in standard installations and is highly resistant in various conditions. Its aluminum- and cadmium-coated steel body complies with NEMA 4 standards, providing water and dust resistance for indoor and outdoor use. The housing is equipped with a 7/8-inch hole for attaching a 1/2-inch flexible cable.

The hinged quick-release connection makes it easy to deploy the detector for quick cleaning of the quartz lens. The aspirator system increases the interval between cleanings, and also allows you to close the inspection tube when the detector is open. The aspirator is equipped with a 1-inch NPT outlet for mounting on the inspection tube and a 3/8-inch NPT outlet for air supply.

The detector is equipped with a clamp-type contact pad with removable screws located in front. The rear part of the Honeywell C7076A1031/U photocell contains a removable electronic chassis with an ultraviolet sensitive tube, a shutter mechanism, a power source, a solid-state circuit, sensitivity regulators and a flame current meter socket. The chassis is inserted into an eight-pin socket in the housing, which facilitates replacement and maintenance.

The flame control detector C7076A 1031 has two independent sensitivity regulators (A and B) with a dynamic range of 400:1, providing stability under various vibrations. The built-in flame signal meter socket facilitates fine tuning. The high level of the output signal of the UV detector allows long-distance transmission without special wiring, and the solid-state circuit ensures durability and stable sensitivity over wide temperature and voltage ranges.

Technical specifications

Model: Flame detector with adjustable sensitivity, installed in a standard housing.

Maximum aspirator temperature: 107°C (225°F).

Ambient operating temperatures: -40 to 70°C (-40 to +160°F).

Storage temperature values: -51 to + 85 °C (-60 to +185°F).

Sensitivity: The detector can reliably detect pilot flame (145 W, G25 at 25 mbar) at a distance of 5 m.

Remote sensitivity selection: The external switch connected to select the sensitivity control positions has positions A or B.

The external selector switch: Must be calibrated to switch by 25 mA at 48V =.

Sensitivity Adjustment: Range: From 400 to 1

Sensitivity regulators: Two, designated A and B, on a removable load-bearing frame. Each can be installed independently and locked to eliminate displacement due to vibration.

Flame signal: Measured in the flame current meter socket.

Detector C7076A 1031: from 1.4 to 5.5 microamps (nominal value).

Amplifier R7476*: from 2.5 to 5.5 microamps (nominal).

Amplifier R7886A: from 2.5 to 5.5 microamps (nominal).

Interchangeability: Not interchangeable with other models of flame detectors.

Shutter operating frequency: 1.25 Hz, nominal. Blocks the line of sight of the detector about 75 times per minute to ensure self-diagnosis. Any malfunction in the flame detection system leads to an emergency shutdown.

Body: Aluminum construction and cadmium steel. The color is blue. The front compartment contains a contact pad; the rear compartment contains a removable electronic chassis.

Casing: Meets NEMA 4 standards (waterproof and dustproof, indoor and outdoor).

Weight: 3.3 kg (7.3 lb).

Maximum cable length: 1000 meters between sensor and amplifier.

Cable connections: The contact pad in the front of the housing is of the clamping type, removable screws (cable lugs can be used). Cable entry hole: A 7/8-inch hole in the housing for attaching a 1/2-inch flexible cable; the docking must be waterproof to comply with NEMA 4 standards.
