The Honeywell C7061A1004 flame sensor is a dynamic self-monitoring flame detector designed to detect ultraviolet radiation generated during the combustion of gases, oil or other fuels.

The Resideo C7061A1004 flame sensor is designed for standard applications.

The flame detector is designed to be used in conjunction with an ultraviolet signal amplifier with dynamic self-monitoring type R7061 and a flame control relay R4348 or with an ultraviolet signal amplifier with dynamic self-monitoring type R7861A and 7800 series burner programmers. These configurations ensure the creation of a closed loop with a self-monitoring function, which guarantees the operability of both the amplifier and the detector. An incorrect response of the detector (false detection of flame failure) leads to an emergency stop and/or an alarm signal.

Description

The detector model C7061F is designed for use in installations requiring explosion-proof design. The detector housing conforms to the EExd IIC T6 classification.

The detector model C7061F has a fitting with a normal pipe thread (NPT) 1” for mounting on the sighting tube.

The terminal block on both models is of the clamp type, with removable screws and is located in the detector compartment of type C7061A1004/U. The ultraviolet radiation detection cell contains a radiation-sensitive tube, a shutter assembly, a terminal block and a magnifying lens. The UV radiation sensor can be mounted at a distance of up to 300 m from the flame control programmer/relay.

Features

• The oscillating shutter blocks the ultraviolet radiation incident on the sensor 12 times per minute (when used with the R7861 amplifier in combination with the 7800 series programmer) to perform the control function of the ultraviolet radiation sensor. When used in conjunction with the amplifier R7061 and the flame control relay R4348, the shutter oscillation frequency is 60 times per minute. The components of the amplifier circuit are monitored by a microprocessor in the 7800 series control unit.

• Detectors can be installed horizontally, vertically or at any angle. For C7061A1004/B models with self-monitoring function, it is required to adjust the front panel. Detectors of these models have installation reference points that ensure proper operation of the shutter mechanism.

• The UV sensor tube and quartz window can be replaced at the detector installation site.

• Two flame detectors can be connected in parallel in order to reduce the probability of false alarms of the system in cases of difficult detection of the presence of a flame.

• To facilitate the detection of the presence of a flame, the detector can be mounted on a swivel support.

• There is an ultraviolet radiation sensor tube designed to operate at temperatures up to -40°C (-40°F).

• The device has a built-in UV sensor monitoring function, used in conjunction with the R7061 and R7861 amplifiers with dynamic self-monitoring.

• A quartz viewing window designed for high pressure (50 lbs/sq.m.) can be installed as an additional equipment. inch (345 kPa)), magnifying lens and vibration-isolating support.

• The housing complies with the IP67 protection standard.

• Heat-resistant unit built into the mounting flange.
