Honeywell VR4601AB1067U gas solenoid valves are designed for safe regulation of gas flow in domestic heating systems, heaters, boilers and water heaters. They provide standard functions and can be supplemented with various devices, such as a pressure regulator, a throttle valve, a smooth ignition device, two-level regulation and modulation of gas flow. Honeywell VR4601AB 1067U Compact Automatic gas valves can have different power options, including mains or low-voltage, and different throughput capacities.

The VR4601AB1067U gas valve is suitable for VIESSMANN Vitogas 100 boilers type GC1 18-60 kW: 7820911.

These combined gas valve include two electrical actuators:

• for opening a safety valve of class A or B according to EN 161

• for opening the main valve of class B, C or J according to EN 161.

They are suitable for different types of gases, such as petroleum gases MFD group A (G110), MFD group B (G 120), natural gas H (G 20), natural gas L (G25) and liquefied gas LP (G30).

General provisions

The Honeywell VR4601 AB 1067U gas regulator is designed for gas heating installations with DSI, HSI or IP ignition systems for the main burner.

The main burner is controlled by two-position electrical actuators.

The VR4601AB1067B controller includes an internal fine-mesh filter on the input side, and can be equipped with an output mesh filter on request. Different models with different closing strength are available:

1.            B + B

2.            B + J

3.            B + C

4.            A + J

5.            A + C

To control and adjust the pressure of the burner, there are pressure measuring fittings with an outer diameter of 9 mm on the input and output sides. The regulator can be installed within an angle of 90° in any direction from the vertical position of the two-position electric actuator.

At the base of the VR4601AB 1067B gas valve, two threaded mounting holes are provided for mounting on the heating system. The two-position actuator of the tracking type of the main valve is equipped with an electrical connector according to DIN standard and can be connected to AMP connectors.

Principle of operation

The VR4601 AB 1067B valve provides automatic control of the gas outlet pressure. It has a built-in positive feedback system, which guarantees the closure of the main valve in case of a power failure or gas supply.

This system ensures a stable outlet pressure, regardless of changes in the inlet pressure. When small volumes of gas are disconnected from the regulator, the outlet pressure is adjusted to compensate for the pressure difference.

If pressure regulation is not required, the regulator spring can be locked. In this case, the full pressure of the “servogas” determines the position of the main valve, which allows you to control the output pressure.
