Brahma VM42 37200531 oil burner safety control boxes are designed to interact with gas supercharged burners in intermittent operation. All VM42 37200531 gas control units are equipped with a manual reset function, which allows restarting the installation when the RESET button is pressed. These controllers are used on heating devices for domestic and industrial use, where the VM41 type is used for single flame systems, and the VM42 type is used in installations with two flames.

Basic characteristics

The Brahma VM42 37200531 burner controller is highly flexible due to two independent contacts for controlling gas valves. The built-in manual reset ensures easy operation. Easy installation and connection make it possible to replace mechanical controllers with the same dimensions and connection dimensions. The certification (CE Reg. N° 63AQ0625) complies with Directive 90/396, guaranteeing safety. Ionization control of the flame increases the reliability of operation. Compliance with EN 298, prEN 676 and DIN 4788 standards ensures compliance with European and German requirements for control and pressurization systems for gas burners.

Construction

The use of special production technology and surface installation of electronic components allows you to keep the dimensions of the controller at the level of the previous generation of mechanical controllers. The robust housing provides protection against mechanical damage, dust and dirt in operating conditions. The built-in varistor prevents damage to the controller in case of voltage fluctuations, and the internal fuse serves to protect the internal relays of the controller in case of a short circuit of the outputs. It is important to note that an external fuse is required to replace the internal fuse.

Operation of the controller

When activated from the thermostat, the controller initiates the burner motor and checks the status of the air pressure switch. If the air pressure switch check is successful, the fan turns on. After switching the air pressure switch to the “presence of air flow” mode, the purge time (TW) starts counting down. After TW expires, power is supplied to the gas valve and the ignition device, starting the safety time (TS).

If a flame is detected during the safety time, the ignition device turns off. If there is no flame after the safety time (TS) has expired, the controller switches to manual lock mode. The gas valve, the burner motor and the ignition device are switched off, and an emergency situation is signaled. The VM42 controller activates the second gas valve 15-20 seconds after flame detection.

If the flame is lost during operation, the gas valves are turned off, and the VM41 controller initiates the re-ignition procedure. The VM42 controller goes into crash mode. Additional cyclograms in the application provide detailed information about the actions of each controller.
