Brahma VM42 37200501 gas control units are designed to interact with gas supercharged burners operating in non-continuous (intermittent) operation. All VM42 37200501 burner control units are equipped with a manual reset function: the installation is restarted by pressing the RESET button. These controllers are installed on heating devices for both domestic and industrial use.
The VM41 type is designed for installations with a single flame, while the VM42 type is used in systems where two flames are present.

Construction
The use of special production technology and surface installation of electronic components allows you to keep the dimensions of the controller at the level of the previous generation of mechanical controllers. The housing protects the controller from mechanical damage, dust and dirt under operating conditions. The built-in varistor prevents damage to the controller in case of voltage fluctuations in the power supply network. The internal fuse is used to protect the internal relays of the controller in the event of a short circuit of the outputs (gas valve, motor, transformer, alarm signal). It is important to note that an external fuse is required to replace the internal fuse.
Operation of the controller
When a signal is received from the thermostat, the controller activates the burner motor and checks the status of the air pressure switch. If the air pressure switch test gives a positive result, the fan starts. When the air pressure switch is switched to the “presence of air flow” position, the purge time (TW) starts counting. After TW has expired, power is supplied to the gas valve and the ignition device, and the safety time (TS) starts counting down.
If a flame is detected during the safety time, the ignition device is switched off. If there is no flame after the safety time (TS) has expired, the controller switches to manual lock mode. The gas valve, the burner motor and the ignition device are switched off, and an alarm signal is issued. The VM42 controller sends a signal to the second gas valve 15-20 seconds after the flame is detected.
In case of flame loss during operation, the gas valves are switched off, and the VM41 controller starts the re-ignition procedure. The VM42 controller goes into crash mode. The cyclograms in the application provide additional information about the actions of each controller.
