Ignition transformers BRAHMA TSC1 15900001 are designed for long-term operation and are used in gas burners with atmospheric conditions. They differ in the frequency and power of the spark; it is worth remembering that the power of the spark directly depends on the energy of the discharge. Due to the high discharge energy, the transformers with ignition cableBRAHMA TSC1 15900001 can be used where conventional capacitive ignition units BRAHMA TSC1 15900001 cannot cope. Their plastic housing and epoxy resin filling ensure an appropriate level of insulation.

Notes

  • Do not forget that excessive length of the ignition cable can reduce the discharge energy due to the resulting parasitic capacitance between the cable and the ground.
  • Avoid placing ignition cables next to other wires: energy transfer between nearby conductors due to “parasitic capacitance” can damage connected devices, especially electronic ones.

Installation

  • Connect and disconnect the BRAHMA TSC1 15900001 high voltage transformer only after a complete power outage.
  • When installing, follow national and European electrical safety standards (e.g. EN 60355-1 / EN 50165 / EN 61558-1-2-3).
  • Be sure to connect the valve body to the ground to protect against electric shock.
  • The transformer can be installed in any position.
  • Avoid placing high-voltage cables next to other cables.
  • Provide the appropriate level of protection for this installation.
  • Minimize the length of the ignition cable (this will reduce parasitic capacitance and the likelihood of interference to adjacent cables).
  • Lay the ignition cables as close to the ground as possible to reduce the impact of interference on other electrical wires.
  • Create a single ground point to avoid the occurrence of spurious ring currents.

Connection

  • The power supply is provided via a quick-release connection 6.3X0.8.
  • The high-voltage part is connected using a quick-release connection 2.8X0.5.
