Brahma PEG01 / PEG02 – Compact Ignition and Flame Control Modules for Oil and Pellet Burners

Brahma logo

Brahma PEG01 and PEG02 are compact, fully integrated burner management modules designed for automatic ignition, flame detection, and actuator control. These modules are commonly used in mobile diesel space heaters, pellet burners, pressure washers, and compact heating systems that require reliable and efficient flame control.

The PEG modules offer all-in-one functionality including fan control, ignition transformer activation, and fuel valve management. They are compliant with EN 298 and are engineered for easy installation and long-term durability. Discover our full range of Brahma burner controllers for more ignition control options.

PEG01 / PEG02 overall dimensions

Applications

  • Mobile diesel space heaters
  • Pellet and light-oil burners
  • Compact heating units with blowers
  • Pressure washers with burner systems
  • Small industrial ovens and dryers

The modules are available in two power supply versions:

  • PEG01 – for 230 V systems
  • PEG02 – for 24 V systems

How It Works

The controller manages the full burner cycle, including motor activation, ignition, fuel delivery, and flame supervision. If flame is not detected within the preset safety time (TS), the unit enters lockout to ensure safety.

Compatible Flame Sensors

The PEG modules support the following sensors:

  • Photoresistors: FC7, FC8, FC11, FC13
  • Phototransistors: FT11, FT13

The choice of sensor type depends on burner design. Proper shielding and wiring are important for accurate and reliable detection.

Wiring and Outputs

The PEG module features outputs for:

  • Fan motor
  • Ignition transformer
  • Fuel solenoid valve

All connections are made through a standard terminal block. The unit also includes an LED indicator for operating status and fault diagnosis.

Operating Sequence

The PEG follows a simple and secure operating cycle:

  1. Power-up and fan start
  2. Ignition and fuel valve activation
  3. Flame detection within safety time (TS)
  4. Continuous operation
  5. Shutoff or lockout if flame is lost

Default values:

  • Pre-ignition delay (TA): 1.5 seconds
  • Safety time (TS): 10 seconds
